ITS Service Units
Enterprise Server Technologies provide hardware and software support for the central campus Unix/Linux/Windows systems. Our mission is to provide a reliable, secure, high-performance information technology infrastructure for computing in a collaborative, service-oriented, cost-effective manner in support of the university's teaching, research and service mission.
The Office of Identity, Security and Compliance works to help all K-Staters understand the importance of using good security practices and common sense when they use their computers on the Internet. The ISC team is responsible for risk management, compliance, information security operations and the overall coordination for all information security at BBIN电子.
The Information Systems Office (ISO) administers, develops, and maintains mission-critical systems in support of institutional administrative functions, such as Accounting, Payroll, Employee Benefits, Employee Records, Budget, Facilities Management, Parking Services, Admissions, Student Financial Assistance, Class schedules, Student Billing, and Student Records and Services. ISO also administers Electronic Document Imaging and Business intelligence reporting. Administrators, faculty, and staff throughout the university use these systems to operate and administer academic programs and institutional operations. Students use them to access essential services and information.

Included in the unit is the IT Help Desk, ITS Operations Center, university telephone operators, design and build of multi-mediated environments, desktop support, departmental computer repair, technical training and consultation, instructional design, equipment checkout, university computing lab and the Media Development Center and IT Communications. The unit provides consulting services for the submission of electronic theses, dissertations and reports.
Network and Telecommunications Services (NTS), previously known as Computing and Telecommunications Services (CTS), provides server, storage, networking, and communications infrastructure, as well as the associated support services, to the students, faculty, and staff of BBIN电子. These services include the storage and management of the University's core business data, the maintenance and support of all data and telecommunications equipment, and the copper and fiber optic distribution networks. NTS also provides radio and cellular services.
The Office of Mediated Education (OME) is dedicated to providing innovative and reliable solutions to meet the computing needs of BBIN电子 in the areas of teaching and learning as well as research, technology transfer, and outreach. OME supports tools such as the online learning environments, academic video streaming and live event broadcasting, public web services and hosting, as well as custom developed applications and services for academic and functional units, and a web services transaction hub and business process management infrastructure for secure and efficient data exchange.
