State Authorization

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Education's regulation (34 C.F.R. §600.9)regarding legal authorization to provide postsecondary education through distance or correspondence education in a state in which it is not physically located or in which it is otherwise subject to State jurisdiction as determined by the State, BBIN电子 makes every effort to receive authorization from each state in which its distance/online students reside.

On February 9, 2015, BBIN电子 became an institutional participant in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) initiative. With this membership, BBIN电子 programs are automatically available to students who reside in the 47 participating states. At present, only California, Florida, and Massachusetts have not yet joined the NC-SARA initiative.

Through NC-SARA, BBIN电子 has gained authorization to operate in the 47 states that have joined the agreement, and is also authorized in the remaining three states. Students seeking to enroll in a BBIN电子 distance education program residing outside the state of Kansas, but within the United States, can check the NC-SARA website for assurance of their state's participation, or check the University's authorization status by:

  1. Clicking the link below applicable to the program level of interest and examining the status of student's state of residence:
  2. Contacting the K-State Global Campus at global@k-state.edu or
785-532-5575, or toll free at 1-800-622-2578.

These statements do not apply to students enrolled at one of K-State's physical campuses or locations (Manhattan, Salina, Olathe, or other approved locations).
